From passive watching to active learning.

Most screen time is a one-way street. It displaces the crucial back-and-forth interactions that are essential for development. Research shows that passive screen use is linked to delays in language and cognitive skills. Funtiq was created to be the alternative. Our mission is to provide a minds-on experience that builds critical skills through play.

Learning to write has never been so magical.

Tracing is the first step on the journey to reading and writing. Funtiq makes this foundational skill a captivating experience. Our intelligent tracing game helps your child develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and letter recognition—all through joyful, interactive play that feels less like practice and more like magic.

"Leo spent 20 minutes on math."

YOU'LL SEE:

"This week, Leo showed great progress in one-to-one correspondence while playing 'Counting Caterpillars.' We've also noticed he's drawn to puzzles that involve spatial reasoning. To support this, you could try building with blocks together this weekend."

The Great Screen Time Debate: Why Quality Crushes Quantity for Our Kids' Developing Brains

It’s a scene that plays out in living rooms across the globe: the kids are quiet, absorbed in a tablet or the television, and you, the parent, finally have a moment to breathe, to cook dinner, to send that important email. But then, a familiar pang of guilt creeps in. Is this much screen time […]

Your Questions, Answered

Funtiq was born from a mission shared by our parent non-profit organizations, WeSavetheKids.org and the Visible Minority Radio & TV Network (VMRTN). We saw a need for a positive alternative to passive screen time—one that was not only educational but also accessible and equitable. We created Funtiq to harness technology for good, transforming screen time into a joyful opportunity for learning and growth that every family can trust.

Not at all. The American Academy of Pediatrics has shifted its guidance from focusing on time limits to focusing on the quality of the content. Passive screen time, like watching videos, has been linked to developmental risks. Funtiq provides high-quality, interactive, and educational screen time that engages a child's mind and aligns with expert recommendations.

Our key difference is our focus on empowering the parent. While other apps focus only on the child's games, Funtiq provides an Intelligent Parent Dashboard. It translates gameplay into simple, meaningful insights about your child's learning and even suggests offline activities. This is because our goal isn't profit; it's providing a genuine developmental partnership for your family.

Absolutely not. In fact, it's designed to do the opposite. Funtiq is a catalyst for connection. By giving you insights into what your child is learning and suggesting related offline activities, we help bridge the gap between their digital play and your real-world interactions, giving you more to talk about and do together.
